REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS NSF/ANSI 58 Standard

French Eaux’s products have met the stringent requirements of the NSF/ANSI 58 standard, which is the American National Standard for point-of-use (POU) reverse osmosis (RO) systems. This achievement was made possible through rigorous testing and evaluation conducted by a joint committee comprising regulators, manufacturers, and end users.
The NSF/ANSI 58 standard encompasses comprehensive requirements that cover various aspects of these systems, including:
  • Safety of materials in contact with drinking water
  • Structural integrity
  • TDS (total dissolved solids) reduction performance
  • Efficiency rating
  • Recovery rating
  • Contaminant reduction performance
  • Information for the end users
It ensures that French Eaux’s products adhere to the highest standards of reliability, performance, and efficiency in providing clean and purified water.
FILTRATION PROCESS

FILTRATION PROCESS

When comparing the filtration capabilities of French Eaux’s reverse osmosis systems to conventional filtration methods, the differences are significant. Conventional filtration, although effective to some extent, is limited to the removal of micro-particulates such as sand, hair, pollen, coal dust, giardia cysts, and yeast cells. However, it falls short in filtering out all bacteria, making the water still potentially toxic.

On the other hand, French Eaux’s reverse osmosis technology can filter particles down to an impressive 0.0001 micron, ensuring the removal of bacteria, colloids, herbicides, pesticides, viruses, charcoal, dissolved salts, and other contaminants. The comprehensive filtration provided by French Eaux’s reverse osmosis systems guarantees that the water is purified to an exceptionally high standard, offering a safe and clean drinking water solution for consumers.

FILTRATION SOLUTIONS

French Eaux offers comprehensive filtration solutions that far surpass conventional filtration methods. Conventional filtration, using wound sediment and sieve sediment filters, may still leave the water highly toxic with a mineral content level exceeding 720 mg/liter. A step up from this is microfiltration, which provides average water quality with a mineral content of less than 200 mg/liter, typically using polypropylene filters. The subsequent stages of ultrafiltration and nanofiltration further improve water quality, bringing the mineral content below 120 mg/liter using semipermeable membranes and granular activated carbon (GAC) filters.

However, French Eaux goes even further by employing reverse osmosis (RO) technology, which achieves optimal water quality with a mineral content ranging from 60 to 80 mg/liter. This is accomplished through the use of RO membrane filters with micron-sized pores that effectively remove contaminants while preserving important healthy minerals. French Eaux’s RO filtration solutions provide customers with exceptional water quality, significantly reducing mineral content and ensuring the delivery of safe, clean, and refreshing drinking water.
